Winter in Clarens is known for crisp mountain air, cosy fires and icy mornings, but this July, one local event is encouraging visitors and residents to embrace the cold in the name of charity.
4 July: Cluny Animal Trust Polar Bear Plunge
The annual Polar Bear Plunge, hosted by Cluny Animal Trust, will take place at Arpa Adventure Farm on Saturday, 4 July 2026.
This much-loved winter fundraiser invites brave participants to dive into the icy dam waters while supporting a meaningful cause. For those who are not quite ready for the cold water experience, there is also a virtual participation option where supporters can send in a video of their own cold plunge challenge.
